NAA Nationals Day 2
SIX HUNNERT AND FIFTY PLUS ARCHERS!
Day two started out like the first only drier. Hotter and virtually no wind.
I stayed on the JOAD side during the morning to score Lindsey's arrows. Walk, walk, walk. There is an unofficial estimate by a nice person who should know who says there is around 550 archers participating in this event. PHEW! That is an incredible number of archers to host and yet everything seems to be so well organized this might be a plain ol' Texas State Tournament of just a few hunnert.
A number of the youth archers failed to turn in scores to the leaderboard runners so there is no youth leader board. In addition, shooting on the Senior side was not completed by the time I had to leave so I am unable to provide numbers for them. There is some reservation on the part of the officials in providing me with data since it is not "certified" until after the event is done, so they do not send me the numbers via email or by giving me a file.
If there are leader boards still posted on the morning of the third day I will pix them and try to upload them early. My apologies. Finally, there is something truly awesome in seeing so many archers on one line, knowing that not only is there a second line there is also a whole 'nother set of archers that shoot later in the day! Bogus thanks to Ron Hall for kicking me off of the archery field so I could go see a movie. He informs me that my photo press badge doesn't extend to the field so there won't be any more pictures like today's. Sorry 'bout that. Enjoy the few I was able to get before he told me to get off.
